The new SingularLabs website

Earlier this week, I rolled out a long-awaited redesign of the SingularLabs website. The site had previously been using a modified version of a 9 year old WordPress theme, so it was quite overdue for a refresh.

The new design is built on GeneratePress, an extremely lightweight and flexible theme that I’m now using on fourteen different personal and client websites—including this one.

Under the hood, it’s as up-to-date as a WordPress site can possibly. It uses the new Gutenberg block editor for page content, WordPress’ new block widgets (which are terrible, FYI) for the sidebars, and CSS variables for all the custom styles—something I hadn’t worked with before.

While redesigning the site, I took the opportunity to remove a few legacy product pages. JavaRa—which I discontinued 7 years ago—has finally been removed, as have the Remembr, MetroTextual, and Ultimate List of Uninstallers pages.
